Instructions
Assess the forest vegetation structure and composition. Focus on canopy cover, dominant species, understorey condition, and signs of browse or regeneration.
Canopy Cover
Look up and estimate what percentage of the sky is covered by tree canopy
Dominant Canopy Species (Top 5)
List the most abundant tree species in the canopy layer (up to 5 species)
Understorey Density
Browse Presence
Look for signs of animal browsing on leaves, shoots, and bark (deer, goats, possums)
Regeneration
